I'm not really answering your question directly, but I work for a filter manufacturer and as long as you're using a quality brand (OEM is always a good idea of course), you'll be fine. The lube filter requirements of a passenger car are next to nothing compared to the heavy-duty applications that we make products for, and with those systems, the filters are targeting particles in the 15-30 micron range in the lube system.
